Lola - 14 Week Old Border Collie (Trial)

Lola is a 14 week old Border Collie and is, quite simply, adorable. She is a quick learner, loves being taught new commands/tricks and will need to continue to be engaged this way to keep her stimulated and a healthy happy pooch.

She absolutely adores humans, needs to be near them, loves to be involved and craves to be told she’s a good girl. She will be best suited to a home where someone will be nearby most of the time. She is super sweet, gentle, playful, and the biggest snugglebug.

Lola is housetrained and uses the dog door with ease. She has started leash training and is becoming more comfortable being in a harness and on leash. More training will be required.

Lola has spent some time with several other adult dogs and seems comfortable after some initial shyness. She is also fine with kids but recommend households with 6yrs+ kids as she is still quite an excitable puppy and jumps up. No cats.

Little Lola loves being inside and will need a home where she can access both outdoors and inside. She is not suited to apartment living. She has already proven to love jumping so a yard with sturdy high fences will be required.

Lola will thrive in an active home where she will get plenty of attention, exercise, and stimulation - and in return you will receive adoration, snuggles, and love in abundance.

Lola’s adoption fee is $700.00 which includes their desexing when they are old enough. It also includes their first two vaccinations. They have been treated for fleas and worms, and are microchipped.

Lola is in foster care in Sydney, NSW. Since they are not yet desexed, they are only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. They’ll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when they are 5 to 6 months old.

PLEASE NOTE: Dog Rescue Newcastle provides individual listings with specific requirements for each foster dog. If you submit an application or inquiry and DO NOT receive a response within 5 business days, please understand that you have not met the specific requirements for this dog. Please do not be disheartened or discouraged, this simply means you were not a suitable match at this time.

This organisation's adoption policy is moderate. What does this mean?
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire: https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
