About Chesley
Hi there! My name is Chesley and it is SOOO nice to meet you! I was surrendered to BVAR after my owner could no longer look after me. It was very sad but I am loving life in foster care. I am on the hunt for a breed experienced family that will love all of me - quirks and all.
I am a typical lab baby that's very playful and boisterous. I have wonderful manners - I can sit, lay down, shake and wait to be told to eat my food. I am also crate trained. However I still have a lot to learn and would benefit from further obedience training to help me stay on the right track.
I am fantastic with dogs, however I am more suited to dogs my size or bigger. I can get a bit too rough when I play so could hurt something smaller than me. Any other dog in the home would need to be equally playful so that we can play all day long. I have been around cats and although I am good with them, if they run I will chase! So if you have cats in the home, make sure they're used to dogs or can stay safe from my loving. I am not suitable for pocket pets.
I am great with children but again, as I am very boisterous, I am much better suited to older children.
I can get a bit upset when left alone, so I need a family home more often than not, and more importantly, a family that will allow me inside the home and let me be a part of every day activities.
I like to think of myself as a keen gardener, and if you leave shoes laying around you best bet they now belong to me. I will require plenty of mental and physical stimulation to keep me occupied.
I am very loving. I love cuddles and snuggles and just want someone to love me back. If you think you tick all the boxes above, please consider adopting me and bringing me into your life.
