Hi there, my name is Rollie! I'm a young Beagle looking for my forever home. Will it be with you?

I'm looking for an experienced owner with Beagle breed knowledge, with no children under 15 in the home as I can be quite nervous of new environments and people. Sometimes younger children aren't sure how to interact with a nervous boy like me, so I will need a household that understands to take things slowly at my own pace and is able to read my body language to be able to gage when I'm feeling overwhelmed and need some guidance from my humans. I would really benefit and thrive in a predictable and consistent home, especially while I settle in to my new home with you as I tend to startle at loud noises or sudden movement.

Since I am still a young dog, I would really benefit from ongoing training to ensure I grow up to be my best self! I would love to be slowly and positively introduced to new environments and novel experiences so these become familiar to me. If you know anything about us Beagle's, I'd like to think I'm a quick learner and show off how smart I can be and how much we love to use our nose! Enrichment is a great way to mentally stimulate me as well as help me decompress and relax - it's what we love to do. This could look like providing me with a snuffle mat or boxes with yummy treats in it to encourage me to sniff out the treats. My other favourite enrichment items are kongs, boxes, chews just to name a few! These are another great way to keep me occupied while you step out of the house to go about your daily routine and have to leave me at home.

I would love a furever home as an only dog as I'm not quite sure what to make of other dogs and tend to get a little too overexcited. But hey, that just means we get to spend all the time in the world together! I would really love if we could spend our days together inside and outside, napping together on the lounge then playing with me outside in the fresh air with toys and allowing me to sniff the fresh green grass - you know us Beagles!
