About Kai
Little Kai – he’s as cute and fluffy as a teddy bear!
This gorgeous pup wins over the hearts of everyone that meets him. Kai has a beautiful temperament and slotted into his foster home with ease. He is a happy pup who loves cuddle time and will take all the pats on offer. Kai is good with kids and currently shares his foster home with some that he likes to play with. He loves being involved with the family and would make a great side kick for life’s adventures.
Kai is a working breed mix who is expected to grow to a medium size. He came to us from a rural NSW pound so has likely come from working dog lines. This means that he will require daily exercise but also mental stimulation. His new owners should have a plan about how they will keep both his mind and body active so that he can live a happy and healthy life. On the flip side, he settles really nicely and the ability to switch off could easily be fostered in him. This has already been started in his foster home with crate training.
Kai currently lives with a large breed adult dog, and he has been great with it. The two dogs enjoy playing together – it’s lots of fun! Kai would love a home with another similar type of dog but there is no reason he cannot live as an only dog if he gets some regular playtime with others. Like any puppy, he should be given ongoing socialisation with people and other dogs as he is growing up. Kai will also need to be exposed to new places and experiences in a positive way so that he can continue to build confidence out and about in the world.
While in foster care, Kai has begun his basic training. He is such a smart boy and has great potential. He can already sit and is learning to walk nicely on the lead. Kai is being crate trained and he will happily sleep through the night in his crate. He is progressing well with his toilet training and also travels well in the car.
We are looking for a dog experienced home for Kai that preferably has working dog experience or knowledge. He should be allowed inside to be with the family and will require a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. Kai is young enough to learn how to live harmoniously with other types of pets given the right training and guidance. He is suitable for a home with dog savvy children but will need a home with a yard rather than a unit environment. Kai is the type of dog who could conquer whatever you set out to achieve with him – the world really is your oyster with him!
If you would like to make this gorgeous little guy a part of your family, then please complete a Dog Adoption Enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website as the first step. Please include plenty of details in your application about your previous dog experience and the type of life Kai would have with you.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
