About Macy *On Trial*
*macy is currently trialling her new home* macy is one of 5 healthy, happy puppies who were born on 25 november 2010. The pups were surrendered to rural rescue from hay in nsw where they were about to be put to sleep. Rural rescue then asked sarg to help with their rehousing so we took on 3 of the cuties. Their mum is a purebred labrador and their dad is a neighbouring working kelpie who happened to jump the fence when the lab was on heat…she has now been desexed so it won’t be happening again!
macy is an absolutely gorgeous little pup who’s a bit of a favourite with her carer! gentle and affectionate this lovely girl really enjoys her own company and can often be found entertaining herself with her toys or exploring the yard while her brother’s get into a bit of rough and tumble. She also likes getting in on the action with her brothers though when it gets a tad rough she just sits on the sideline offering little woofs of encouragement to them! macy isn’t fussy when it comes to food which will help with her training and reckons cuddles and snuggles on the couch with her carers children are the best!
all of the pups get along well with their carers other dogs both big and small as well as the family cat and their very patient miniature horse whose lovely long tail seems to be a major attraction for the playful pups. They’re well behaved around the chooks and are used to being handled by adults as well as children making them pretty much “bomb proof”. Macy will be the size of a small labrador once she’s finished growing. She is nearly all black except for some tan kelpie-like markings on her paws and the side of her face as well as having a cute little patch of white on her chin and chest. While in care macy will learn the basics such as “sit” and “down” and as she’s only a young pup she will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so she grows up to have lovely manners! \ daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to keep her stimulated are also a necessity so she doesn’t get bored and up to mischief
macy would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on her own but only if she won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while she’s a pup. If you think you’ve got the time, patience and love to bring up gorgeous macy then please contact sarg for an application now!!
