Medical notes
This cat has been diagnosed with a heart murmur. Heart murmurs are quite common in cats and can occur at any age.
Bandit suffers from a congenital heart condition called Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. At the moment he is stable and enjoying life, but some time in his future his heart will begin to fail. This may be years or may only be months.
Bandit needs a family that understands that every day is a gift to be treasured and enjoyed. He will require 3 monthly vet consultations to monitor his heart murmur and check for early warning signs his heart may be failing. It is also recommended he receive an echo every 6 months to visually monitor changes to his heart and help his vets determine if he needs any medication to help keep him comfortable.
