NOTE: You are unable to meet Beans until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet (name) in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.


What I need in my new home:

• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate who is gentle and calm may be okay as boisterous dogs scare me. Preferably a female as I like to have a girlfriend.
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• A quiet & mature family/household - this is what I am used too
• Short regular walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• I can be shy at first so I need a family who’ll allow me to grow in confidence in my own time
• A quiet, gentle female dog is the best housemate for me. But, I LOVE LOVE LOVE people, so I'm just as happy being an only dog getting all of your love and attention for myself
• A family that will love and care for me during my twilight years
• I appeared scared of cats when meeting them at the shelter however once my confidence around them grows I might be more inquisitive. If going to a home with a cat they must be dog savvy and we must be introduced slowly.
• TRAINING TRAINING TRAINING. It's ESSENTIAL I receive training in all aspects of my life so I can be the best dog I can be. I am house trained but may need time to adjust and relearn at my new home.

Things that I don’t want in my new home:

• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Cats, they scare me


My best features:

• Gentle & placid
• I have had some basic obedience training and am a generally well-mannered dog
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I walk well on lead
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches
• Well mannered
• Love to snooze on the couch
• Housetrained and used to being allowed inside

Where I need to improve / Training required

• I am shy at first with new people and in new environments so will require a family who will take their time allowing me to settle in.
• I am social with other friendly dogs however I will react if they are too full on or reactive to me. Remember I am only small.
