Buddy

This little munchkin is BUDDY, a miniature Fox Terrier mix puppy born on 28 November 2022.

Weighing just 3.6 kgs, we've described him as a Mini Foxy "mix" to reflect what's in his vet book. But as far as we're concerned, Buddy has all the distinctive physical characteristics of the Mini Foxy, including a predominantly white coat, a darker-coloured head, dark eyes and very large ears. Check out those ears!

Until recently, he was a much loved family pet, but due to illness in the family and through no fault of his own, he was reluctantly surrendered to us.

His foster mum describes him as follows:

"Buddy is a very sweet-natured little fella. He's affectionate and energetic - and like all Foxies, he's a plucky little chap. He's great with kids and other dogs - and he's so easy-going that I'm guessing he's probably fine with cats, too. He's a thoroughly charming pup and would make a great family or companion dog."

The ideal home for Buddy is one where he can be the apple of someone's eye. He's very definitely an inside-outside dog and loves the company of his human family.

For such a tiny dog, the Mini Foxy has a high energy level and requires lots of daily exercise to use up that energy. Buddy will need a daily walk and lots of play at home to ensure he's tired at bedtime. Having a compatible canine buddy would assist.
