About Wally
Wally is an outgoing and smart pup who loves to be around people. He enjoys being inside or outside, happily spending time with his humans when they're gardening or enjoying the outdoors. His three favourite activities are eating, chewing toys and bones, and going for sniffing walks.
This adorable boy loves to carry a toy in his mouth and loves launching into zoomie mode when his humans play-chase him. He also enjoys games of fetch and tug-o-war. He is used to living on an acreage property and enjoys his country lifestyle. He would love his new home to offer this too, although he has stayed in a suburban home with a large backyard previously and adapted well to this with plenty of enrichment and engagement.
Meeting new people is a very exciting thing for Wally because he loves everyone. When he’s out at a cafe, he thinks everyone walking past is there to meet and pat him. He’s usually right because no one can resist his adorable face! But as a young pup, he is still learning to keep all four feet on the ground when greeting people. He can pull on a leash as well, but is highly food motivated and will continue to learn quickly. He already has all of his basic obedience skills down and has decent recall with food treats as an incentive.
Wally is house-trained with a doggy door and is used to being left alone for up to four hours at a time. He isn’t afraid of storms and rarely barks in his current environment. He doesn’t enjoy the cold weather and would much prefer to come indoors and snuggle somewhere warm. His current owners are at home with him most of the time, and they would prefer for this to be the same in his new home. Another cheerful doggy pal to keep him company would also be ideal for Wally.
This happy-go-lucky boy is used to attending doggy daycare once a fortnight and is friends with all the dogs he meets. He has never met any cats, so any household with a cat should be prepared to take things slowly and ensure introductions are positive for both pets. Wally has come across horses and cattle previously and is unfazed by them. He has also met children on several occasions. He enjoys playing with kids but is a bouncy boy and would likely bowl over very young children.
Wally truly is a lovely boy. He is reluctantly being rehomed, and his joyful presence will be missed by his current owners. They are searching for an adopter who will be able to shower Wally with love and provide him with plenty of positive enrichment as he matures into an adult dog. Could Wally be a great fit for your home?

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
