About Ellie
Ellie is a small Chihuahua cross miniature fox terrier, aged 8.5 years (born 31.10.2014).
Her weight is around 5kg.
She had a small dental procedure in March, 2023 and her vaccinations are all up to date. She is de-sexed.
Ellie just simply loves people and their company, and can be quite vocal when she is left alone at home. So she would probably suit a retired single or couple who would be able to spend a lot of time with her. She would have to be an indoors dogs, sleep inside of course, but have access to a secure yard. She is a very clean little girl, does not pee in the house.
Originally she did live with a family of 2 cats which she got along with, but she hasn't been exposed to any since coming into our care. She has plenty of dogs around her, but would like nothing more than to be the centre of attention. She loves to be loved! She will gladly sit with you on the lounge and cuddle up with you, follow you around and be your shadow.
Ellie is an easy maintenance dog, with her short coat, still needing the occasional bath to keep her smelling nice.
She only needs a small/medium sized backyard, but it must be totally secure with good fencing and gates (preferably colourbond).
If you think you and Ellie would be a good match, then we encourage you to send your enquiry via email. She is ready to go to her new home now!!!
Medical notes
No medical issues.
Adoption details
The first step is to email Midcoast Dog Rescue Inc. for assessment regarding prospective ownership and pet suitability.
Adoption Application forms must be completed.
A property inspection will be carried out on properties in the Port Macquarie area so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you’ve selected. Proof of home ownership will be required. If renting your home, a letter from the owner’s agent confirming that the pet is allowed will be required.
A 2 week trial period commences on the day of adoption. If, for any reason, the dog is returned to Midcoast Dog Rescue within the trial period, the total adoption fee paid will be refunded.
All Midcoast Dog Rescue animals come desexed, microchipped, vaccinated (up to date), vet checked ,wormed, flea and tick treated.
.......................
Midcoast Dog Rescue Inc. is trying to expand its foster carer network so that we can help more dogs in need. This is a very rewarding experience and suits a variety of people. Some people, for whatever reason, are unable to make a permanent commitment to a dog, a commitment which can last for up to 15 years. Others use the fostering experience as an interim measure before committing to permanently owning a dog. If you think you could be interested in becoming a foster carer, either on a long-term or a short-term basis, and would like more information please contact Nigel on 6584 4992 or Wendy on 6584 7027.
