About Sasha
Introducing the delightful Sasha! Sasha is an ex-racing Greyhound born on 12th September 2020.
Sasha was surrendered to us. Her owners got Sasha from her racing trainer who no longer needed her for racing. Unfortunately the home she went to already had a very large, very boisterous & playful pup who was a bit too much for Sasha to handle as she is such a gentle soul. Her surrender profile states she was kept indoors & outdoors, however she doesn't appear to be fully house trained as yet. She travels well in the car, has shown no signs of separation anxiety or food aggression. She has lived with children & she's brilliant with them. Sasha is also very friendly with adult strangers.
Sasha tested well with other dogs, however she does prefer calmer/older dogs. If you have a friendly dog at home, we will need to do a meet & greet with them before going home to ensure they get along.
Unfortunately Sasha didn't test well with cats or pocket pets, so she will need a home with no small animals.
The first time I met Sasha was when I was getting photos of her & she instantly ran up to meet me. I crouched down to say hello & she instantly put her head on my chest and let me completely engulf her in a big, squishy cuddle.
Sasha's adoption fee is $450 and includes her desexing, lifetime registration & current vaccination. Sasha is also regularly treated for flea and worms.

Sasha is located in East Maitland.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
