About Russ
Introducing the cutie Russ! Russ is a Jack Russell born 3rd February 2023.
Russ was a private surrender as his owners lease agreement only allowed 1 dog at the premises. They believed Russ would be easier to rehome being such a young puppy & they were devastated to have to make that decision.
Russ' surrender profile states he was mostly kept indoors & he is house trained. He travels well in the car & is friendly with children and adult strangers. He also gets along with other dogs & cats.
Being a pup, he will be easily trainable and these loyal dogs love to please their owners. Please note that Jack Russell's are working breeds & will require extensive training, exercise and stimulation.
Like every puppy, Russ will thrive with early socialisation and exposure to many different people, sights, sounds, and experiences will ensure he grows to be a well rounded man.
Russ has shown no signs of food aggression since being at the facility.
His surrender profile states he would prefer to NOT be the only animal at home, so we feel he be best suited to a home where he has another dog to play with.
Please note that if you have an existing dog in residence, we will require a meet and greet to ensure they get along and will be always best buddies. When organising a meet and greet, we will require a current vaccination certificate for your existing dog to ensure that there is no chance of infecting Russ who has just had his 3rd puppy vaccination.
Russ is such a loving young man who wants nothing more than a home he can call his own and not have to worry about losing another family.
If you think you could be that furever family for Russ, please contact our friendly staff via email at ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com or 0499 900 272 to organise a meet and greet.
Russ' adoption fee is $800, and this includes his desexing, vaccination and lifetime registration. Russ is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
Russ is currently located in East Maitland.

If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
