Who wouldn’t want buckets of fun?

Buckets might just steal your heart! He’s got the floppy ears, big head and boundless puppy enthusiasm of a young labrador, but at a trim 29kg he’s got the slim physique and wiry fur of a wolfhound (or something similar).

Buckets has a zest for life and will charge into every day with face-licking, bounding enthusiasm. This is tempered by his smarts and his desire to please – he patiently sits for every meal, he’ll quietly lie down and wait for you at the door, and he’s quickly learned how to walk loose leash (without too many distractions in the form of birds to chase, dogs to play with or people to greet). He’s even polite enough to bring you the cardboard box he’s found to ask if it’s alright that he plays with it.

With a yard to play in, people to love him and an active life to keep him engaged, he’ll be the picture of a cheeky, fun-loving family dog. He’s young and loves to learn, and would pick up any kind of training well.

He can be at times nervous of all the sights and sounds of the city, with trams, trains and large crowds of people all new to him, but with patient exposure he is learning to take it in stride.

Buckets is untested with cats. He can be a rambunctious companion, and would enjoy the company of another dog who could frolic and play with him. He does like to attempt to chase birds (or at least woof at them when they land on his foster carer’s back patio roof).

He's a lovely dog who can't wait to find his new family and jump in with both paws and his whole heart.
