About Ophelia
Ophelia was living wild with her mother and 3 siblings in a backyard, then taken indoors, but her situation was not ideal. She has blossomed in care from a very scaredy cat into the snuggliest little smoocher, with a magnificent fluffy tail (she is fluffier than her photos suggest). She is only a little cat, and will probably remain that way. She will bat your hand gently to tell you to keep patting and giving her scratches. She has a very odd meow which sounds like she has laryngitis, but is perfectly normal for her. Her cries to tell you "feed me" or "pick me up". She loves to sleep on a lap when she is very sleepy, but also can get the zoomies in the morning or the middle of the night! She adores hugs and kisses and to be adopted on her own would need a home where people are home nearly all the time, and she will be the centre of attention and showered with time and hugs. She loves her brothers and sister so alternatively she could be adopted with her brother Constantine, who she will happily play and snuggle with all day.
Adoption details
STUFF YOU NEED TO KNOW: I will come desexed, vaccinated (1st F3) and microchipped and will have up to date worm and flea treatments.
ADOPTING ME: You must be able to provide me with a loving long term and safe home. I would be fine in an apartment as long as I didn't have free run of the balcony if it wasn't fully enclosed. Please ensure your house or apartment can contain a cat inside (ie fly screens etc).
Please remember that I have thought seriously about taking you on and when you take me home, I am committing to you for life. So, I hope you have thought seriously about this and are likewise planning on committing to me.
ABOUT YOU: Given you know all about me, my foster parents would like to know something about who my new parents are going to be. They have rescued me from death row and have given me a lot of care and love. I know they love me and therefore want the best for me.
ABOUT US: AWL Western Suburbs branch wants to promote adoptions of cats from our foster carers & pounds. If you would like to help us, please feel free to contact us and find out how you may assist, including being a foster parent.
All adoptions will require a Pre-adoption application form completed and returned prior to a meet & greet with our cats. Please note that several people may be applying for the same cat so we need time to review all applicants. We do not re-home to the first to apply, we re-home to who best suits the needs of the cat or kitten. All applications will be considered individually and approval will be at the discretion of the AWL NSW Branch Representative, with their decision being final.
