Ryder

Ryder is a big, strong, juvenile German Shepherd cross (possibly Alaskan Malamute) looking for an experienced and confident owner. Ryder has been in our care since he was a young puppy, and has been in a foster home with a staff member. Ryder was described as being friendly, eager to please and playful - loves being with his people!

Ryder has a tendency to startle and react to things here at the shelter, which seems to be a symptom of general anxiety. It will take him a while to become comfortable with other dogs, however once he is, he shows social and playful behaviour.

Ryder would suit living in an adult and older children/teens household as he is a big bouncy pup. He may be okay living with a suitably matched canine companion, preferably another dog that is not anxious or possessive.

Ryder's new owners will need to be prepared for his typical breed traits, and to continue with ongoing training and socialisation. He is so excited to learn and explore this big wide world!
