About Butter
Butter is just a little character!
Currently in care with and getting on famously with the carer's cavoodle (who is queen of the house!)
Butter loves a cuddle and a face rub.
He loves to play and his favorite toy is an orange mouse he often carries around the house. He likes to hide the toys under the bed.
Butter likes to squeeze under the couch and watch from his hiding spot then swing his little paw out.
Initially shy when he first came into care but once he felt safe he really came out of his shell.
From his carer:
He is the sooooooo cuddly. He will flick my hand with his head for me to Pat him. He loves to have his tummy rubbed and his face. He purrs like crazy and loves greeting me at the door when I come home.
He sits on the windowsill while I have a shower so he can watch the water then jumps in as soon as the shower is off. He loves to play any chance he can get.
He loves the cat trees. Either hiding in the box or sitting on the very top watching over the living area. He loves the tall post for scratching.
Butter wouldn't mind a cat friend or small cat friendly dog but he would be equally happy being the only pet in the household and getting all the attention.
Would not suit a home with kids or big dogs. He's a gentle boy and doesn't like lots of running around and loud noises.
Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need-Brisbane website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. Our emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
Please note all our cats are indoor cats only.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
