About Ruby
Meet Ruby, the dog with the best smile in the world! She's a shadow who loves to be by your side, and expresses her love with lots of licks and cuddles. Ruby will even bring you her toys for playtime. When it's time to wind down, you'll often find Ruby peacefully sleeping with a soft toy by her side or, if you let her, she'll gladly lie on you or your feet to keep you warm.
No matter what the weather brings, Ruby is always ready to adjust her activities accordingly. She enjoys being able to spend time indoors lounging around and nap times when needed, but also likes outdoor adventures and playtime on sunny days.
One of Ruby's favourite things is playing tug-of-war, which is a great way to engage her active side. Going for runs is another activity that makes her happy. Ruby's smile isn't the only thing that lights up a room. If she senses that someone is feeling down, Ruby will try her best to provide comfort and a whole lot of love. Meeting new people means more pets and cuddles, and Ruby would make the worst guard dog!
Ruby is also very intelligent and loves to show off her skills to new people. She's a quick learner and can easily pick up new tricks. However, she can be a bit selective with other dogs and may require slow introductions. She would benefit from learning proper greetings and interactions with dogs on a leash. Ruby prefers to be the only dog or live with a super chilled, tolerant adult male.
Ruby's ideal match is an active and experienced handler that can keep up with her energy levels. Older kids, who can handle her playful nature, could be great buddies. A secure outdoor area of decent size, such as a large yard or bigger, is necessary as she requires daily high-intensity exercise. Ideally, her new home should be in a rural environment. Ruby primarily enjoys being an indoor dog, so it's important that she has access to the indoors.
Her house manners are excellent, and she has a solid foundation in basic obedience and tricks. Ruby doesn't do well with fireworks and very loud thunder. She’d rather hide inside until it’s over!
Regretfully and with a very heavy heart, Ruby’s owner is looking to find her a new home due to a change in living circumstances and work commitments.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
