Skye

Skye is the definition of a sweetheart!!! She is without a doubt the sweetest and most beautiful dog you will meet. Watch out as she will totally melt your heart.

Skye is a happy girl who is very social with every person she meets. She loves her human company and if you are sitting doing work somewhere she will seek you out to keep you company. Skye silently tip toes up to you where she politely asks for her favourite chin rubs or neck scratches. When you come home, you are greeted by a very wiggly body and even a couple of excited barks. But despite her being super excited to see you, she is very well mannered and knows not to jump up. Skye has also met some children – she was happy and calm in their presence and happily accepted their gentle pats.

Around the home, Skye is a typical couch potato. She has a calm and gentle nature and enjoys spending many hours snuggling up on her bed. Skye is a super low maintenance company who is easily pleased. She has progressed well with her toilet training and will take herself outside if she has access to. Skye has been crate trained and sleeps the night away in her crate happily without a peep.

Skye enjoys going for walks. She loves a good ‘sniffari’ and enjoys taking in all the smells of the neighbourhood. Skye walks beautifully on the lead and does not pull so she is suited for someone who may not have the strength to hold a strong dog. She also travels very well in the car and lies down straight away. Taking her on road trips or on holdiays would be easy.

In her foster home, Skye currently lives with 2 other greyhounds and enjoys their company. She would love to share her home with another greyhound, but she would also be ok with another medium to large breed dog or as an only dog. Skye has met small dogs on lead and been friendly with them, but we prefer not to home her with small dogs. Skye’s background is one of racing and then breeding. She was entrusted to us to find her a wonderful retirement home as her amazing temperament was loved by everyone that had anything to do with her.

We are looking for a loving home for Skye where she will be spoilt and given amazing care. She does not ask for much, a warm comfy bed and some affection make this girl very happy. Skye will win you over as soon as you meet her – there is just something truly beautiful about this soul.
