Meet Dusty. This handsome boy was found wondering the streets in a bad way. When he came Into care he was almost hairless due to mange and very skinny. While recovering from mange Dusty was able to show off his soft cuddly, calm and talkative side. Dusty has learnt to have some happy morning rumbles when you get up in the morning.
Although he can still get a bit excited like a puppy with jumping up when he is excited he is overall a calm dog that loves to receive pats and attention.
Dusty is super dog friendly, he has interacted with both big and small dogs and had no issues. Dusty is crated while he eats his food as he tends to wonder off from his bowl and tries to eat others food.
There is a toddler in his current foster carer house and he couldn't be any more gentle with him. He doesn't snatch food from his hands. He happily walks beside him in a calm manner. A few kisses are exchanged during these walks.
Dusty is an awesome guard dog. He has an enormous bark when people are handing around. He doesn't bark at the small things.
Dusty is crate trained and sleeps in his crate over night. Infact on these chilly mornings you can find Dusty just chilling in his crate throughout the day with the door open.
Dusty is still working on his lead training. At present he still pulls on the lead a bit but he is making good progress and is coming along nicely.
Dusty is $350 to adopt and comes desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated and given flea, tick and worm preventatives. If you would like to meet Dusty please email adopt@nqar.org.au
