About Ian - 10yo Mini Dachshund (adopted 10/7/23)
Meet Ian, a 10 year old, tri-colour, Miniature Dachshund. Ian is a beautiful, placid dog and is tolerant and kind around other dogs. Ian is a sweet and gentle little boy. He enjoys exploring the garden with our other dogs and also being inside and sleeping on the lounge at night. Ian needs a little more help with house training but since recently being desexed he is settling in nicely to a home environment.
When Ian first came to his foster carer two weeks ago, he was timid and wary of people. He has been receiving lots of TLC and has come a long way. He is still a little wary at times, but is becoming more trusting and enjoying attention.
Before being rescued by DRN, Ian was being used as a breeding dog but little is known about his background apart from that.
Ian will make a great companion to someone who can nurture him and shower him with affection. He would be suitable in a family environment or with a single carer or couple who could give him lots of attention.

Ian is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW and is available for adoption interstate (the east coast). Ian’s adoption fee is $400 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.
