About Kaylah
***Currently in Perth****
Hi, I'm Kaylah, and I am your perfect bundle of licks and love.
I am as friendly as they come. I am told that some rescue pups have ""issues"", but I really don't know what those are. I am just always so happy. I love people, I love dogs, and I LOVE FOOD!!!!
I will do anything for food, which means two things:
1. If you eat it, I want it!
2. I'll do anything for food. So you can train me to do anything. Quite quickly actually. I AM very intelligent.
In my 3 days with my new foster carer here in Perth after flying in from Karratha, I have already calmed from being a jumpy, full on pup, to sitting nicely and awaiting your every wish.
I already walk really well on lead too, and with the right amount of food bribes I have learned quite good recall in the park, even when I am slightly distracted. There are of course exceptions :) When I get excited, like when you try and put on my collar to go for a walk, I become the lickiest dog in the universe, and my whole body wags. But no matter how much I forget myself or my manners, and even around food, you will NEVER feel my teeth. My foster mum says I have the softest mouth she's ever known in any dog, even when taking treats.
Now that I have come all the way from the country to enjoy a bit of city life, I would love to find my perfect family. You don't even have to be home all of the time. With the right dog company, I do quite well left home alone for a while. For someone so young, I show a remarkable amount of patience and have not dug any holes, chewed any table legs or shoes, and any socks I have abducted have remained unharmed. That's not to say I can't do ""better"" if I was left entirely on my own for too long.
But almost more so than the company of other dogs, I adore being around people. In the park even, they are the ones I like to greet first. So I will need you to spend lots of quality time with me when you are home. I think I might even like to have my own child or two. I am quite careful around them.
What you should know is though, that from my previous foster, I have become accustomed to sitting on my allocated place on the sofa, and I also feel quite entitled to claim my corner of the bed. I could be your child's guardian pup in the night!!! If that is not your thing, that I am sure you can ""untrain"" me to do those things (good luck to you ; ). But if you think that's ok and even quite cute, I would really love that. I DO really like being so close to you.
I know you don't know me and I'm sure they all say that they are wonderful; but I really AM!
Don't believe me? Then hurry and arrange a meeting! Don't let me be the one that got away.
