About Remus
You won’t find a truer sweetheart that my boy, Remus. He’s super affectionate, gentle, social in every sense of the word and he loves in the way that only a dog can love.
When I got asked to foster Remus, he was guessed to be between 4-5 years old. Once I had him in my care, I ran a microchip scan and realised he was actually 9. I was shocked because he sprung up into the back of my Ute like a spring chicken and he just doesn’t act like an old boy. I think with Remus, you will find that you won’t be adopting an “old” dog, just a wise man with a few years under his belt that make him sensible and calm but energetic enough to still go for a big walk, jump up into your car without trouble and then nap the rest of the day away.
We don’t know where Remus has been the last 9 years but based on his behaviour I’d say he’s definitely been a stray for a good part of that. He’s not naughty by any means but he’d need to stay on lead unless in a fenced area until his recall is a bit better and you just need to watch him around bins because he’s definitely a dumpster diver. He came into care extremely underweight so he has a lot of value in food but he’s not shown any signs of food aggression around people or my other dogs.
Remus is amazing with dogs of all sizes and people and so far has shown no issues with my children 3.5years and 1years or my cat and chickens. He walks beautifully on the lead, sleeps in a crate over night without a peep, gives the absolute best cuddles in the world and you can just tell he appreciates the warm and loving home he now has to sleep in and a regular meal offered to him every day.
Remus can’t wait to meet you, his new forever home, and show you what an amazing gentleman he truly is.
