Dusty

Dusty’s personality:
Dusty is an absolute sweetheart - how could you not love that face!? He is a 8 month old Kelpie that just loves to please and have cuddles. Dusty is such a happy and bright boy, is great with other dogs and is also a very quick learner! He is now used to wearing a harness and walking on a lead - although he would absolutely love someone to help him practice this skill a bit more!

Dusty’s ideal forever home:
Dusty would suit any home that has the time to spend with him and help him practice his training, so he can be the best doggy he can be. Dusty has had a pretty rough start to life and is can be quite apprehensive with new things - so lots of love, patience and reassurance for him is a must. He is very playful, so another doggy in the home would be good for him or even children that would throw his toys for him regularly.

Dusty’s story:
Dusty was rescued thanks to two wonderful and caring women who were concerned for his welfare. He was living his life chained up on a farm and was going to be shot for destroying some plants. Thanks to these kind-hearted people, we were lucky enough to take him on that same day so he could have his second chance at life. He has settled in slowly at the rescue, getting used to lots of new things at once. But despite all he has been through, you can still always see a smile on his sweet face!

The story Dusty was destined for was not a good one and we are so, so happy that he came into our lives. He is a sweet, young boy that is very intelligent and just wants to please. He can be a little bit nervous with new things but is always so brave and tries them out when encouraged and reassured. He is a playful boy that loves to do zoomies and will fit in so well with any family that is ready to show him the love he deserves.

Dusty’s adoption fee is $500, which contributes towards his food, medical expenses and other care to date.
