About Oscar
"Hey there, I'm OSCAR - I'm a spunky little 6 month-old Rottweiler mix puppy with a heart as big and as deep as my eyes, and I'd love to welcome the right humans into my world!
"I'm told I was born on 13 March 2023, along with 7 brothers and sisters who've already found their 'furrever' homes - and I can't wait to find my own, following some amazing adventures after I left them!
"Most recently, I've spent a week living aboard a boat with my foster dad and his rescue dog (my bestie 'big brother'!) and the ship's cat (never met one of those before but, hey, no problem!). I've seen the sea and played on the beach and it's been awesome - but it was a little crowded onboard and now it's time for me to settle down.
"I've got 'Sit' and 'Come' down pat, but I'm just so stoked being close to my peeps that my attention span needs some patient work so I can master more of these rewarding commands. My foster dad gave me a great review (aw, shucks!) when he wrote that I am 'a typical 6 month old puppy who wants to play, chew and play some more but has a surprisingly mature outlook on the world around him that makes him calmer and less reactive to changes than expected for such a young boy.'
"I walk well on a lead, love playing with (and learning from!) other dogs (well, mostly playing!) and I'm pretty unfazed by noises, activities, strange smells and visitors (no matter how they smell!).
"My foster dad also said: 'Oscar is a real ‘snuggle-buddy’ and enjoys lap- and cuddle-time, and will quite happily snooze beside you or at your feet. He has the most amazingly seducing ‘deep-pool’ eyes and his active puppy curiosity is balanced by an inner calm surprisingly mature beyond his short time in this life.' ... aaawww!"

Oscar's mum, Aurora, is a very gentle, pretty and affectionate Rottie mix, just 23kg. We don't know what her breed mix is, nor do we know the breed of Oscar's dad.
Preference will be given to homes where someone is around most of the time and/or there is another compatible dog or dogs for Oscar to play with.
As always, secure fencing is essential.
Oscar is available for interstate adoption.
