I've been adopted!
About Foxy
Hello everyone, my name is Foxy. You might remember me from when I had my babies, the Christmas Litter! I've been in care since October 2021, raising my babies, having 2 emergency surgeries and learning how to be a dog and how to be loved by people. All of my puppies have grown up and been adopted and now, it's my turn.
I am a very special girl looking for a very special home. I came from a property with 30 + dogs, where I didn't have the opportunity to be a dog and learn to do dog things so I'm still figuring out that new people, places and things aren't scary but I have come a long way and every new step I take makes my carers very happy and excited! BVAR have put me through professional training which has helped me significantly, but I really need a new forever home where I can continue to flourish and grow.
I like to spend my time running around the yard, playing with my foster sister, rounding up the cat, napping on couches or cuddling on beds. I love a good belly rub, a chew toy to work on and a tasty treat here and there. I take a little bit to come around to new people but I'm working on it!
I get along great with other dogs and am more suited to a home with an existing, older and well behaved dog to help me continue to learn. I live with cats although they do frighten me somewhat.
I am great inside and outside and am used to my carer working full time hours. I am quick on my feet and love to chase possums and birds, so probably don't adopt me if you're surrounded by lots of wildlife - we want to keep them safe too.
Given my history, I would prefer a quieter home, with no or much older kids. It takes me a long time to warm up to new people, so be prepared for me to take a few weeks to settle into my new home.
I need someone that isn't looking for the 'perfect' dog. Someone willing to commit to training, socialising and giving me the best possible chance at life, and most importantly, let me be me. I will be a challenge, but it will all be worthwhile I promise x
