About Scooby
Introducing Scooby! He's a sweet, sensitive, gentle little man. Scooby is looking for a calm quiet household to enjoy his senior years. He did show some signs of anxiety when left alone indoors. In his previous home he was left outdoors so he tends to jump at the door, pacing and whining. This would suggest he's more comfortable with an indoor/outdoor access. We'd recommend someone be home initially to help him settle in before gradually working on home alone training. Scooby may benefit from some crate training to provide him with a safe space to retreat to if feeling overwhelmed and to provide him an area he can switch off. He may be worried and appeasing when first meeting new people. He warms up quickly and will snuggle up into your lap. He'll require secure fences as he has previously gotten out under a small gap. It's preferable to have teens rather than little ones in the home but can be lowered to calm older children, so we'd recommend meeting at time of adoption. Scooby will need to meet any other dogs you have at this time too and a calm social small breed is recommended.
