About Keeva
Fetching dogs seem to be having a bit of a scruffy moment and who doesn’t love a scruffy?!
Keeva is the most gorgeous girl both inside and out. She gets noticed everywhere she goes with her beautiful brown eyes and black, scruffy coat. She is the perfect size (a smidge bigger than a kelpie) and anyone who meets this girl is going to fall instantly in love!
Keeva came to us from a rural NSW pound where she was lucky enough to score herself a spot in a foster home rather than staying in the kennels. She lived happily with 4 dogs ranging from very small to very large. She has proven to be extremely social with other dogs and will do best in a home with another confident, friendly dog. Her new owners should continue to provide her with opportunities to socialise with known, friendly dogs.
We don’t think Keeva had a lot of love prior to being found as a stray in the outback as she has a more reserved nature. Although quickly warming up to females, she can find men a bit overwhelming and will take a little bit of patience to warm up. She does not have an aggressive bone in her body, but will rather just warm up to a female first. Having another dog around who is friendly with men helps her feel confident and it doesn’t take her long to realise men are worth knowing.
Keeva is learning some basic training and is a smart and keen learner. She is house trained and travels well in the car. She will require a family who will continue her education, which will be a great bonding opportunity for handler and dog. She has moderate energy levels and would absolutely love to be included in family adventures whether it be to the beach, a bush walk or camping.
Her country foster home had children and she was fine with them, our preference would be an adult only home just due to it being slightly easier to settle her in, but she will happily share her home with dog savvy children as long as the parents have adequate time to help continue to bring Keeva along. She will need time to figure out the world out and about, but has handled suburban life like a champion and with patience and guidance this girl is going to flourish into the perfect dog.
Keeva will require a home where she is allowed inside as part of the family and have access to a backyard. She would like someone home more often than not while she settles in and finds her feet in a new environment. She should have a warm and comfy bed to sleep in inside of a night and given a good amount of daily exercise to keep her happy.
Keeva is seriously a one in a million dog due to her affectionate and gentle nature and stunning looks. If you think you can offer a home that will provide Keeva with the opportunity to continue to flourish with patience and lots of adventures, then head on over to the Fetching Dogs website and fill out an Dog Adoption Enquiry form as the next step.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
