About Donny
Donny is your happy companion in life. He loves to be your shadow, joining you in as many of your daily activities as he can. Whether just on the couch doing some binge watching or out and about on your daily tasks.
Donny loves the car and can think of nothing better to do than accompany to do the shopping or visiting Nanna.
Our Donny was first adopted a few years ago but his adoptive Mum needed to move overseas and couldn’t take him. He has found a lovely foster home to look after him until he finds a new couch to crash on.
As a expert at pet-life, Donny is relaxed walking on lead, toilet trained and can do stairs. He is very comfortable and easy in the home. He does like to know where his human is so a couple of beds for him would be good, maybe in the living room and your home office. Donny is also used to going to work with his previous owner. He was very content to sit on his bed in her office and occasionally socialise with the other office dogs including some butt sniffing at the water cooler.
Donny is generally good with other dogs. He prefers calm dogs who are polite when they greet on the street. He also enjoys sharing a home with another dog.
Donny loves kids and is very gentle and patient.
Donny was happy living in a apartment in his original home. His routine is three shorter walks, about 15 minutes each which keep him and his human happy.
Can Donny be your adoring partner in life ?

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, some can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour.
As a result we look to rehome dogs into households where they are not left on their own for more than 4 hours per day on a regular basis, without either people or another dog for company. We are happy discuss strategies such as a dog walker or doggy day care. Going to work with you is also a great option

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
The rescue group is no longer taking adoption applications for this pet.
