About Kayley
Introducing the gorgeous, regal and stunning Kayley.
This stunning pup is a Kelpie x we believe Labrador girl with heaps of potential to be an amazing girl She is currently14 kilos so we feel she will be a larger size med at full growth
As a pup in the typical pre teen stage shes will need a home that can continue to develop her training and listening skills while using positive reinforcement to guide her
Right in the fun puppy stage of teething now she will need some great enrichment toys to keep that gorgeous mouth busy. As typical of this age jumping up on you in excitement is her thing and being a little mouthy is also a work in process.
She's super smart and has a great ability to learn
She's a super independent girl and will keep herself busty while her family are at work and out.
PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM AND JUNK FOLDERS FOR YOUR APPLICATION FORM TO COMPLETE ONCE YOU HAVE SENT YOUR ENQUIRY
Favorite Things:
Chewy toys (and chewing), zoomies, exploring new things and places and treats.
As a typical pre teen everything is fun and she adapts well
Obedience:
Kayley learns quickly. She is motivated by treats and can already sit in command. We have progressed to sit without a treat. We are still working on staying and stop.
Animal Social Skills
We are confident Kayley would be fine with another playful dog
We have not tested her with cats but feel she might be too boisterous
Hygiene and toileting:
Kayley has only had a couple of accidents inside, generally only when she is extremely excited.so is learning quickly
Sleeping:
Kayley sleeps outside, preferring the outdoor couch to the crate.
Independence:
Kayley spends most of her day outside, with time inside for cuddles for 1 to 2 hours per day.
She’s a very independent girl and does very well on her own. She does love lots of cuddles and attention when her family is home.
Exercise:
Clear;ly her breed and age does indicate she will need an active lifestyle with lots of stimulation and room to run and play as she matures. A short walk around the block when she is an adult really won't cut it
Travel:
Kayley has only traveled short distances in the car but seems to travel well.
Food:
Kayley is currently on a diet of premium puppy food twice a day
Inside the home
Kayley spends evenings in the home with her family until bedtime
She does take time to settle as she gets very excited to be in
As a puppy she still clearly needs to be supervised to ensure she doesn't get up to puppy mischief lol
Ideal home:
A home with a medium to large backyard with grass, shelter, and secure fencing.
A home with or without children, they must be dog savvy children who can handle puppy behavior She does tend to like to herd small children so mature would be best
A home with or without another dog.If another dog is in residence already we seek a Male of medium to large size who is well socialized and tolerant of puppy behavior.
A daily walk. Short walks while she is a puppy and her bones are developing. A moderate-long walk when is older and has more energy to burn.
A lot of love and training! Kayley should be welcomed as part of the family and not just left on her own in the backyard all the time. Her new owner should dedicate time to training and take her to puppy classes.
First time dog owners are not suitable so please don't apply
We recommend children in the home to have prior dog / puppy exposure before your family applies for a young pups puppies do teeth and have sharpe little puppy teeth
