About Jilly
Urgent foster view to adopt
Jillys owner died and is currently in emergency care so need an a carer that understands a dog that has fear. Within a week she stops hiding.
Absolutely loves her walks will bring her lead to you. 😊
Jilly is a 6 year old Hunterway x Kelpi girl who was rescued by a disabled man in the first year of her life. She was badly abused.
Sadly her owner died and she has been left homeless.
Due to the fact Jilly was beaten regularly before she was rescued, Jilly will need someone experienced with scared dogs as she can find herself frightened in unfamiliar situations or with new people.
She is currently in foster and the first week she hid in the bathroom but within a few days she was coming up for pats and the more comfortable she gets the more she turns into a teddy bear that wants to share love and snuggles.
Jilly can go with full time workers and is happy on her own during the day, she is also very well behaved inside the home and loves to snuggle on the couch at any opportunity.
Jilly would be suited to a quiet home with a yard and no other pets or children.
Jilly will need someone strong that can walk her daily as she has a lot of energy but is not quite sure how to play with toys yet and is still learning leash manners.
She is non reactive to other dogs on leash and generally ignores them on walks however she doesn’t like them getting in her face and prefers to be the only dog in the house.
Overall Jilly is very healthy but a little overweight and will need daily exercise and a strict diet to help her get down to a healthy weight.
This darling girl has a lot of love to give and needs a chance to learn that the world can be a wonderful place. With the right person she will thrive and be a very affectionate and loyal companion.
This girl is so sweet she needs someone to give her a chance
