Is there a big polar bear sized hole in your heart? Have you been searching for a loyal companion? Then look no further! Levente is your man. This beautiful 18 month old Maremma is ready and waiting for his perfect family to love and protect.

Levente is a super friendly boy to all humans. He loves nothing more than a pat and a cuddle. He is happy to hang out with you at home, lying right beside you at night while you watch your favourite show. He can also be left alone, greeting you with adoring eyes and a big smile when you return home.

He is loyal with his foster carers and being a guardian breed he wants to protect them. Those experienced with the breed will be aware that Maremma's alert bark to tell you they see something outside the property. He becomes very bonded to his people.
In true Maremma style he likes to bark at dogs and some people as they pass by house - great as a watch dog (who will then run smiling up to the intruder for a pat!!)

He has loved interacting with his resident dogs but due to his size can come across a little intimidating. He has been very gentle with the 3 resident cats. He has met other dogs who he has been fine with.

He would suit being an only dog as he likes to guard his surroundings, he sees this as his job to keep his family safe.

He is learning to walk on a lead but has the potential to pull due to his size. Sometimes it looks like you are doing a dance as he wanders from side to side, backwards, forwards.

His coat needs a regular brush to defluff his undercoat - but doesn't shed much and doesn't require regular baths.

Levente needs assistance and encouragement to climb into the car as this is a new experience, but is a great traveller once he's in.

He is just learning what toys are and how to play with them. He loves to gnaw on chewy toys and sticks, but he hasn't shown any destructive behaviours.
