About Tess
Hi I’m Tess, I was saved from deathrow a few weeks ago. I’ve been busy settling into care, receiving all my routine vet work and making everyone who meets me fall head over heels in love. I had a cancer scare, but thankfully I’m in the clear and now I’m ready to find my forever home 🩷
I can be a little nervous and defensive when first meeting new dogs, but as soon as you tell me to cut it out I settle immediately and just starts sniffing the other dog. I live with another dog and get along great with her playing, wrestling whilst loving life.
I would also do perfectly fine as an only pet as I quite like my alone time as much as spending it with other animals. I enjoy lazing inside on the couch or outside adventuring.
I live with chickens and have a bird cage in my foster home they don’t seem to bother me at all. I am great with cows mostly just ignore them but despise pigs. As soon as I hear them I’m alert and take off. I am untested with cats so it’s unknown if I would be suitable with them.
I would love a home with as many kids as possible, I like to watch them play and enjoy pats and affection. I am not fazed when meeting new people,I will either interact or just walk away.
In the morning I’m happily jumping around but by lunch I’m a couch potato. I love cuddles and affection, but will remove myself from direct interaction if I don’t feel comfortable or had enough.
I am well trained and on command will sit, come, stay but will dance and howl for breakfast and dinner. I’m not overly great with a collar & lead and carry on a bit. I’m learning to be ok with the harness, but can still pull a bit.
Off the lead I am fine, going for walks I don’t like being restricted by the lead and will throw myself around. I will nudge you to let you know I’m still there when off lead.
I am fully toilet trained and have figured out how to use the dog door.
