Rambo

Hi! I'm Rambo! I was adopted from SAFE as a puppy, but my family is relocating and I'm yet another victim of the current housing crisis. 

One of my littermates was DNA tested, and it came back primarily Kelpie and Staffy with other bits--ie what SAFE calls a ""Pilbara Special"". I'm medium to large at about 27kg, and very energetic.  I lived with cats when I was a puppy, and then an older moggy at my adopted home for a while, but haven't been around them for a long time now. I expect I'd need a slow intro if you have a cat or cats. 

I'm very dog and people-friendly and will play non-stop (chasing/wrestling/running) if given the chance. I'm not intimidated by larger dogs and would love a full time playmate. I'm house trained and can use a doggy door.

As well as regular physical exercise, the working dog in me will need to be exercised mentally as well.  Aside from things like agility training outside, there are lots of enrichment activities you can provide for me at home. I'd love to work for my food every day instead of just being given it. You could do things like make food puzzles, or hide treats for me to sniff out and find, give me lovely big frozen blocks of stock or an ice block with a chicken wing in the middle. And what about throwing one of those soft type dog frisbees that don't hurt your teeth? And games of fetch where you teach me to drop the toy instead of turning it into a tug of war. Yeah! I'm super smart, if I don't have enough outlets for my energy, I might resort to entertaining myself with a bit of landscaping (digging) or redecorating (chewing).

Like any dog, I'll thrive with clear, consistent boundaries, and ongoing training.  If you want a smart, loyal, handsome lad then I'm your dog!
