About Brody
PLEASE NOTE THAT UNFORTUNATELY WE ARE UNABLE TO FLY OUR ANIMALS EITHER WITHIN WA OR INTERSTATE
**Before applying, please remember that adopting a puppy into your home is a huge commitment, and very demanding of your time. Puppies require daily exercise, positive and varied socialisation, grooming, training and playtime. When applying, please consider your work hours, holidays, and how busy your personal life is. Puppies will need someone who is home for most of the day with regular focused input, especially in those first six months after adoption **
NAME: Brody
BEFORE SAFE ESPERANCE: Came to SAFE Esperance with his 3 siblings from the pound.
BREED: Mixed breed - we have no direct information of the breed mix of these pups, but we consider there may be some Chihuahua and/or terrier in the mix - this is a guess so therefore no guarantees as to eventual size but they should be on the smaller side.
***************************************************************************
ASSETS: Gentle, active, cuddly and playful! He's an absolute sweetheart!
FAVOURITE THINGS: Brody is a typical puppy with bursts of energy where he loves to rough and tumble with his siblings and explore his surroundings. He's happy to play tug of war and will play with pretty much anything he finds. He'll then settle down for a snooze before getting up and doing it all over again.
ENDEARING FEATURES: He's great with everyone he meets and is extremely lovable.
OTHER ANIMALS: Being a young puppy he will get on well with other friendly dogs after gentle, supervised introductions. He could also live with a dog-savvy, confident cat, again after gentle introduction. He is currently being fostered with a cat.
GENERAL INFO: Brody will need training for pretty much everything being so young. Housetraining is going really well and he knows how to use the doggy door to get outside. Expect a few accidents while he's settling into his new home and routine! He'll benefit greatly from puppy school and ongoing classes into adulthood where he can mix with other dogs, and this is a commitment we will expect from his new owner. We expect these pups to be small sized once fully grown.
ESSENTIALS for Brody:
** a loving home where someone is there for most of the day especially in the first six months after adoption
** a home where he is treated as part of the family and is allowed to be inside or out as he needs and to sleep inside at night
** a decent sized garden where he can run, play, sniff and explore
** attendance at puppy school and continued training into adulthood for him to learn and grow confidence - even though he is small, he needs training to become a responsive and well-mannered companion.
**Brody will have bursts of energy while a pup and we envisage he will be medium to high energy as an adult dog.
Brody could live with dog-savvy gentle children over 8 years of age who will play and interact with him gently due to his small size but know when to give him space.
If Brody sounds like the perfect fit for your family, please send an enquiry and we'll be in touch soon.
