About Bella
PLEASE NOTE THAT UNFORTUNATELY WE ARE UNABLE TO FLY OUR ANIMALS EITHER WITHIN WA OR INTERSTATE
**Before applying, please remember that adopting a puppy into your home is a huge commitment, and very demanding of your time. Puppies require daily exercise, positive and varied socialisation, grooming, training and playtime. When applying, please consider your work hours, holidays, and how busy your personal life is. Puppies will need someone who is home for most of the day with regular focused input, especially in those first six months after adoption **
NAME: Bella
BEFORE SAFE ESPERANCE: Came to SAFE Esperance with her 3 siblings from the pound.
BREED: Mixed breed - we have no direct information of the breed mix of these pups, but we consider there may be some Chihuahua and/or terrier in the mix - this is a guess so therefore no guarantees as to eventual size but they should be on the smaller side.
*******************************************************************
ASSETS: A little shy and sensitive, gentle, dainty, cuddly and playful! Bella and her sister Betty are the smallest of the litter. She can be a little unsure of things at times and will need reassurance but is an absolute sweetheart!
FAVOURITE THINGS: Bella is a typical puppy with bursts of energy where she loves to rough and tumble with her siblings and explore her surroundings. She's happy to play with pretty much anything she finds and loves to be picked up and cuddled by her person once she's done exploring, before getting up and doing it all over again.
ENDEARING FEATURES: She's great with everyone she meets and is extremely lovable
OTHER ANIMALS: Being a young puppy she will get on well with other friendly dogs after gentle, supervised introductions. She could also live with a dog-savvy, confident cat, again after gentle introduction. She is currently being fostered with a cat.
GENERAL INFO: Bella will need training for pretty much everything being so young. Housetraining is going really well and she knows how to use the doggy door to get outside. Expect a few accidents while she's settling into her new home and routine! She'll benefit greatly from puppy school and ongoing classes into adulthood where she can mix with other dogs, and this is a commitment we will expect from her new owner. We expect these pups to be small sized once fully grown
ESSENTIALS for Bella:
** a loving home where someone is there for most of the day especially in the first six months after adoption
** a home where she is treated as part of the family and is allowed to be inside or out as she needs and to sleep inside at night
** a decent sized garden where she can run, play, sniff and explore
** attendance at puppy school and continued training into adulthood for her to learn and grow confidence - even though she is small, she needs training to become a responsive and well-mannered companion.
**Bella will have bursts of energy while a pup and we envisage she will be medium to high energy as an adult dog.
Bella could live with dog-savvy gentle children over 8 years of age who will play and interact with her gently due to her small size but know when to give her space. Bella is slightly less confident than her siblings so will need a quieter, patient home.
If Bella sounds like the perfect fit for your family, please send an enquiry and we'll be in touch soon.
