Hamlet: naughty and nice rolled into one.
When the gorgeous Hamlet first came into care he didn’t know what to do with himself. He was jumpy, mouthy and energetic. He was a typical teen with no guidance on how to behave appropriately for what he craved - the love of his humans.
In the past few months Hamlet has learned to listen to instructions. He will walk calmly on lead with the assistance of a halti. He will sit and wait for his dinner.
Hamlet is great at being a social butterfly, he currently resides with 2 other dogs and loves playing and chilling out with them. Hamlet can handle alone time as long as there is appropriate reinforcement - puzzles, toys, a good bone and a routine.
Don’t get me wrong, he’s not an angel - yet. But he’s close. This guy loves lounging around the house and is currently on the lookout for his forever home. What Hamlet requires is some space to let off steam and a strong leader. If you give him an inch, he’ll take a mile.
We would assume that in the beginning he may test the boundaries of a new home but with firm, consistent instruction he will realise the rules are same and settle back into the beautiful snuggly boy we know and love.
