About Cherokee
🐾 Meet Cherokee, Our Charming Canine Companion! 🐾
❤️ Personality:
Cherokee is an incredibly sweet and affectionate dog who loves being around people. Whether you're cuddling on the couch or going for walks, Cherokee will shower you with endless love and loyalty. He has the potential to be a great therapy dog too, due to his gentle nature and his ability to connect with people of all ages, especially those with special needs. At our Sanctuary Cherry has spent time giving love to people with mental health challenges, as well as physical. He really is love on legs!
🏠 Foster Home:
Cherokee is looking for a foster home without other pets, where he can receive love, attention, and understanding. He craves human interaction and needs a family who can reciprocate his affectionate nature.
Cherokee's initial exuberance and tendency to jump when he first sees you makes him better suited for older kids. With proper guidance and training, he can learn to be well-mannered around younger children, but for now, we recommend a household with older children.
If you're ready to welcome a loyal and loving companion into your life, Cherokee is eagerly waiting to meet you!
Medical notes
⚕️Cherokee needs daily eye drops to maintain his eye health.
He was also prescribed anti anxiety medication during a longer stint at a shelter before coming into our care. He will go into foster care with the medication provided, however this may not be required in the long term.
