About Giuseppe
*In foster care in Leichhardt, Sydney*
Small-medium in size and SO charming, Giuseppe is a playful Maltese Mix on the hunt for a fantastic new home! Recently clipped and looking dapper as, he's very much a 'people person' and just wants to be with you as you go about your day :)
This funny, cheeky boy loves walks and food, long snoozes in the sun, and lots of couch cuddles. He's great with humans of all ages, highly trainable and loyal, and super adorable - he's sure to make one lucky family very happy! Every day he's spent in foster care, his personality has blossomed more and more.
An all-around lover and dope, Giuseppe also enjoys a good time at the dog park! With the continued help and encouragement of his new owner, he's got the potential to be the goodest, most hilarious and lovable boy ever :)
Like all Maggie's pets, Giuseppe is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will be with a terrific person, couple or family who'll give me all the care, affection and training I need to be my best self! I'm still learning how to play and I'd love to master some cool tricks, so it'll be heaps of fun doing that with you :)
A fairly quiet and calm environment would be preferred. I don't need a big backyard, as I just want to hang out with you inside as much as possible. I'm happy to sleep in my own bed in the hallway, as long as I can see you!
There are still some aspects of being a dog that I need to nail down too, so I'd definitely benefit from being rehomed into a household with another nice dog.
If you're kind, patient and good at positive reinforcement, and ideally have some skills with dog training, we're going to get on just fine!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Moderate, I'd say. I'm good at going with the flow - sleeping in if you're sleeping in, and chilling out with everyone on the couch :)
I really enjoy my walks (20-30 minutes a day is plenty, and I'll always have a big snooze afterwards!) but I won’t become destructive if I haven't had one for a day or two. I do still need more training with lead etiquette.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I've been very curious about the babies and children I've met in foster care! I'm a friendly guy, but keep in mind that I weigh 8kg and I like to stand up to give hugs, which might be a bit intense for toddlers.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I totally dote on the other two dogs in my foster home! I love to follow them around adoringly, and I'm really keen to have a doggy friend in my new home so I can continue to socialise and learn.
Cats are an unknown quantity at this stage.

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/80677377750872. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
