About Darcie
Darcie is a stunning kitten with a unique coat that features a mesmerizing blend of tortoiseshell ginger and chocolate colours. Her beautiful ginger spots on her head frame her gorgeous green eyes and her smiling mouth.
Her shy and reserved nature adds to her mystique, but once you’ve won her over she is epitome of a pure machine!
Darcie is initially a shy and introverted kitten who prefers to observe from a distance rather than being the center of attention. She may initially retreat to her safe spot when approached, but with patience and gentle handling, she will learn to trust and form deep bonds with her chosen people.
Darcie loves to play and enjoys batting at feather toys and chasing balls around the house. She would love to be adopted into a home with a feline friend so they could romp and roll to their hearts’ content!
Darcie would do well in a home without young children and with someone who is home a lot of the time to help bring her out of her shell. Her ideal human companions would be patient and understanding, willing to give her the time and space she needs to acclimate and trust. A gentle and consistent approach to handling and bonding would be crucial in building a strong bond with Darcie. Plenty of treats, love and time will be required.
Medical notes
Desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated.

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A Property check will take place via a video call (due to Covid restrictions). Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals for adoption are kept up to date with vet work until the date of adoption. The pet will be rehomed desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
