About Holly
******************APPLY AT www.gsrv.com.au ******************************
Beautiful Holly is 9 months old and is ready to steal your treats… oops we mean steal your heart! This gorgeous girl has found herself in the pound at this young age and is looking for a forever home where she can grow up into the good girl we know she can be!
Holly is a small girl, but we swear she must have springs, she jumps up for attention and to greet new people, and if you are wearing a treat bag, you better believe she is going to try and help herself. Holly calms down quickly and is learning that 4 paws on the ground is the way to her heart’s desire, treats! Holly knows how to sit and has been practising being a good girl, waiting patiently for that “sweet, sweet roast chimken!” Holly’s bouncy nature means that she is best suited to a home where everyone is over the age of 8 year of age.
Holly is a sweet girl who enjoys human attention and affection, she is learning how to play and chase toys but is still a little confused by them at times. Holly is a German Shadow, she will follow her people around everywhere wanting to be involved in everything you are doing, she would love to be allowed inside and included as part of the family.
Holly is quite clever, although she hasn’t had much training, she picks things up quite quickly and is keen to learn and impress her humans, she loves treats and is very food motivated. Holly needs a family who is willing to invest in her training and give her clear, consistent feedback and boundaries so that she knows what is expected of her. Holly would thrive attending group obedience so that she can work on her manners, leash skills and social skills around other dogs.
Holly can get a little frustrated when she sees another dog out walking, she is a little unsure of what to do when faced with a strange dog up close and will bark nervously at them whilst also giving them a sniff, Holly is easy to distract with food around other dogs and will need to take introductions slowly at her own pace until she feels completely comfortable. Holly has always lived with another dog, however they fed off each other’s young puppy, boisterous energy and got up to mischief together. Holly would benefit from living with an older, large-breed male dog that can teach her she is safe and the rules of the house. Holly would also be ok living as the only pet in her new home, she has not been tested with cats or other small pets.
Holly will need an active home where she is given plenty of physical and mental stimulation, she loves engaging with enrichment toys and puzzles, which keep her mind busy whilst working for a reward, this will not only help build her confidence but help exert some of that puppy energy!
This beautiful, bouncy baby has so much potential, she is super friendly and ready to bounce into your life, we know that if given the correct training and outlet for her puppy energy, she will become the best dog!

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Puppies (2 months to 4 months) - $1000
Puppies (4 to 6 months) - $800
Adolescents (6 months to 1 year) - $700
Mature (1 year to 6 years) - $600
Senior (7 years plus) - $350
