About Lockie
Lockie is affectionate, intelligent, playful, loyal, protective and has the cutest baby face.
Playtime is Locki’s favourite thing, especially when it involves a game of fetch! He'll enthusiastically chase after the ball, his cooperative nature makes him a joy to play with.
Lockie is a remarkable learner, thriving with positive training methods. He recognises cues and instructions with minimal repetitions and will do anything for food. He responds well when told to "leave it" and is becoming reliable with his recall. Lockie now happily sits on command and can relax when prompted.
Around other dogs, Lockie is a friendly and well-mannered companion. He gets along well with his canine friends, exhibits social behaviour but is still learning how to communicate with other dogs.
Lockie's sociable nature extends to meeting new people when out but needs a proper introduction at home because he takes his guard dog heritage seriously. Sometimes he forgets to keep his feet on the floor when excited, (he is still a puppy) and may need reminding with treats and a lead. With continued training and guidance, he'll learn to greet people calmly, politely and reliably.
If you have large breed experience and are seeking an intelligent and affectionate companion, Lockie is the perfect match for you. His eagerness to learn and loving nature will bring endless happiness to your home.
If I sound perfect for you, please complete the short adoption application form in the attached link, please note this is the only way your application will be considered: https://homelesshounds.com.au/adopt/dogs
