About Asher
Asher is a wonderful companion, he loves everyone he meets and loves to try and sit on your lap for a cuddle ❤️.
He is great with all dogs he meets and enjoys the dog park!
He is fine with the cats in his foster home he loves playing gentle with the kittens and is very curious of what they are up to!
He very rarely will let out a bark, he doesn't bark at the door when people arrive or anything like that.
He is great in the car.
He is wonderful with the small kids in his foster home, he is so loving and gentle.
He likes sleeping on the end of his foster mums bed and even tucks himself up under the doona when it's cold 🤭.
He knows how to sit, drop and stay.
He is inside toilet trained but will need you to take him out often to make sure he toilets outside especially in a new environment.
He is very low energy for a kelpie, he enjoys lazing on the couch or on his bed inside but also loves to go on long walks.
Now after reading how amazing asher is we want to to know one thing, he is an escape artist! He needs very secure and VERY high fencing (THIS MEANS 6FT WITH EXTENSIONS AT LEAST) to keep him in, he also worked out how to open the front fly screen door and his recall isn't great so will just take off if given the opportunity!
But he is the most amazing boy and with that small negative you will be rewarded with the sweetest most loyal boy ever!

Adoption details
* You will have a list of questions sent that you need to answer and send back.
* Photos are requested of your yard, the fencing and any undercover shelter areas (patio/pergola) that must be sent through along with answers to questions.
* It’s not first in best dressed and we pride ourselves in finding the perfect family home for the animals in our care and make sure each family finds the perfect animal aswell.
* We also offer a 2 week trial on all animals that are adopted from this rescue organisation.
* Meet and greets are always taken prior to adoption and if all goes well that same day, they can adopt on the spot and take home to begin the next chapter together.
*All animals listed on our petrescue page are available for adoption until the moment they are removed

The site is ran by volunteers who also have work commitments and families of their own.
