About Zeus
This sweet boy is Zeus.
He’s about 2 years old, and he’s looking for a permanent home and humans to love and care for him.
Zeus had been seen in an apartment complex in Werrington after he was abandoned by his owners when they moved around December 2022/January 2023.
He was left behind to fend for myself, however a young mum and her kids and another young couple watched over him and fed him when they would see him out in the garden.
Zeus approached a young lady living in the complex one evening in May 2023, which he had never done before as he was very wary and frightened of humans. Turns out, Zeus had a big cut and infection in his foot that he needed help with, which was impacting his ability to walk.
Zeus was started on pain relief and antibiotics to clear the infection in his foot and was eventually caught and brought inside to be looked after. Poor Zeus was filthy, covered in fleas, dirt and had worms, which has all now been fixed up for him.
As Zeus is an older cat, he was checked for a microchip, which he didn’t have, so there was no way to contact his original owners. He was also not desexed.
Zeus is a cuddly boy and loves to lounge around in the sun or in front of the heater. He likes to hang out on the bed and cuddle and gets along with other cats. Zeus does like to play with toys, so providing enrichment and plenty of toys for him if he is to be an only cat is a must.
Zeus would do well as either a solo cat, or with another cat sibling or two. Zeus would not cope with children under 5 or dogs, and would prefer a quiet and stress-free home.
He is microchipped, desexed, vaccinated, and is FIV/FELV negative.
He is located in Werrington with one of our foster families.
Send him a message for his adoption form or if you have any more questions about him 😸.
