About Tempeh
Tempeh – a beautiful boy inside and out, with striking looks and the kind of curiosity and cleverness you’d expect from his Kelpie x Koolie breeding.
Tempeh adores his humans. He would do well with an older doggie mentor or would be happy to get all the attention to himself as an only dog. Temps knows to sit and wait for his dinner. He comes when called (most of the time!) and is learning to walk on lead. Continued training will help Tempeh focus on his humans and bring the best out of this plucky little fellow. He will make a great running partner and a companion for forest hikes.
Temps gets along well with his canine foster siblings. Following the lead of his kelpie foster brother and knowing when to leave his older kelpie foster sisters alone! Tempeh relishes doggie play dates, heartily wrestling and zooming with a new-found friend. Tempeh loves a cuddle. He brings the ball back with encouragement and takes treats gently. When the day is done, Tempeh enters the house politely to settle on his bed and sleeps quietly until morning.
Temps is fostered on acreage. With supervision and reminders, he is sensible around the horses and will stay by your side in the paddocks. Tempeh can become distracted by kangaroos or the movement of machinery however he is improving with clear boundaries and consistency. Tempeh does need a secure spot when left home alone.
Tempeh likes a ride into town and quietly waits for you in the car or ute. When there is down time, Temps is happy to settle on a trampoline in the sunroom or entertain himself with a toy. You are reminded he is still young when a shoe goes missing or the corner of a bed is chewed!
Tempeh would suit an individual or couple, or a household with older children. Temps will do well with owners that have time to spend with him. With a commitment to engaging his wonderful mind, Tempeh will go as far as you wish to take him. A charismatic boy, Tempeh can’t wait to start sharing the adventures of the world with his special human(s)!
