About Blue
Blue is an adorable, nearly 8yr old, male kelpie who is a true gentleman.
He is such a fun, loving and happy go-lucky boy and an absolute delight to spend time with. Blue gets on well with other dogs and plays politely. We think Blue would make a suitable sibling to a dog of similar easy-going temperament but would also enjoy being a single dog in a home where he receives lots of human attention.
Blue walks well on lead but can pull occasionally when he sees something super exciting dart by (like a possum, rabbit, or cat). Blue recovers well, but due to his prey drive, we don’t think he’d be best suited sharing a home with cats or pocket animals.
Blue has his basic obedience skills (sit, stay and come) down pat, and has shown great recall of lead while in foster care. He also travels very well in the car. He loves going on adventures and doesn’t seem phased by new places or situations. Blue is fine being left at home for short periods and being an older chap, is very happy resting during the day. But don’t be fooled by his age, this boy is very fast, and he loves to run and be part of the action.
Blue is human focused and very affectionate. He loves people of all ages. Getting belly rubs and pats are the number one priority for Blue. While he has gentle intentions, he is a big boy (~23kg) and can sometimes be a bit goofy, for this reason, we think he’d be best suited for a home without children, or with confident older children.
If you think this wonderful boy might be a good match for your family, please send us your application.

You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
