About Fenton
What a truly beautiful boy!
Fenton is a very sweet and affectionate dog whose happiness is infectious. He has this adorable smile and cute little tail wag – you just can’t help but fall in love with him. Fenton loves some cuddle time with his people and will often nap with his head resting on you. He is definitely a snuggler. Adults or kids, it doesn’t matter, he will make friends with everyone that he meets, and he has made progress in learning to not be too enthusiastic in his greetings. Fenton enjoys playtime and loves to play with his squeaky toys. He also enjoys swimming and had no hesitation on diving into the dam on a little farm holiday with his foster carer.
Fenton has been in care with a dog of similar size. The two dogs loved to play chasing and rumbling games with each other and when all the fun was over, they would curl up together for naps. So, he is well suited to a home with another similarly sized playful dog. Fenton has also been social with the other dogs he has been introduced to and has enjoyed playdates with other friendly dogs. He is a medium sized dog, currently around 18-19kg, and is moderately active so will require a nice walk each day.
Fenton is an extremely intelligent dog who is food motivated and gets very pleased with himself when he is successful. He is currently in board and train (simply due to a lack of available foster carers) and we’ve unlocked his incredible talents. Fenton has been learning new things in an instance and will do anything to please his handler. He has taken to trick training like a duck to water and brings him incredible pleasure. There is no going back now – Fenton will need a home with someone willing to engage him with higher level training. He will need a handler that will be looking to trial this dog in sports such as obedience, trick trialling, agility, etc. Fenton would easily be able to earn his keep doing stunt dog work due to his ability to learn new skills so quickly.
Fenton obviously has good basic obedience and recall. He walks nicely on the lead and despite coming from far western NSW, he made fantastic progress adjusting to city life in his original foster home. His confidence has grown, and he is no longer over stimulated by fast moving and loud things such as bicycles or motorbikes. At home he is toilet trained and sleeps through the night. He also travels well in the car so will be a great buddy to go on adventures with.
We are looking for a dog experienced home for Fenton where he will be a much-loved member of the family. He won’t be suited to an average pet home with a walk around the block – this boy needs an owner with passion and dedication to full-fill his burning desire to work and learn. The sky is the limit with this dog – he is a star waiting for his time in the limelight.
He would love a home with another friendly and playful dog, but he would also be fine to be an only dog if he was given regular playdates with suitable doggy friends. It would be great for someone to be home most of the time in his new home, at least while he is initially settling in. Fenton should be allowed inside to be with the family and will need a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. He is best suited to a suburban or rural lifestyle and will need a home with a yard so no units please. Whoever adopts this beautiful boy will be repaid in many, many cuddles and will have the most loyal and intelligent dog by their side.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
