NOTE: You are unable to meet Charlie until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Charlie in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate would be great, if not then lots of socialising with other dogs
• My history with cats that are free roaming in the house or yard is completely unknown. There can be no guarantee that I will be ok living with cats, however when introduced to them at the shelter I appeared friendly, so I may be ok going to a home with a cat that is dog savvy and with a slow introduction.
• I like both friendly male and female dogs
• Secure Fencing with no holes or gaps for me to squeeze through
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• Lots of love and attention
• Being a social and playful pupper I would love to go to doggy daycare
• I am a clever, young and active doggo - I would be great for dog training, trick training, agility etc.
• Being an active breed I will require an active family!

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Pocket pets/fowl that are free range due to my breed & possible herding tendencies

• Highly food & toy motivated
• Soft demeanor
• I can sit
• Very attentive and responsive
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• Social butterfly
• I am clever and eager to learn so would love a family who will teach me some cool tricks.
• I LOVE toys, especially soft ones
• Playful & full of beans
• Just an all round delightful little guy who would make a wonderful addition

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I can be a bit bouncy/jumpy when excited - further basic training with positive reinforcement should help this
• I can pull on the lead when excited - further on leash training and/or walking in a harness/halti should help this
• I can sometimes be a little head shy and duck when I think I am going to get hurt - lots of positive reinforcement will help this
