Maverick - 8 Week Old Staffy X (Trial)

Maverick (or “Mav” as he has come to be known) is an 8 week old, male Staffy X puppy. He is a sweet natured puppy with the usual puppy energy, but when he is all worn out he loves to snuggle up for a cuddle or have a snooze in the sunshine. Mav is doing well with his house training, but this will need continual work as he is still very young. He sleeps in his crate at night.

Mav is a very healthy little puppy who has been raised in a home environment. He loves his humans and is very affectionate. He likes to follow you round the house or the yard. He has been socialised with other puppies and adult dogs (small and large) and gets along well with them all. He loves play time with his brother and his foster sister. He's met lots of people and is friendly and affectionate with them. Mav also lives with a cat at his foster home and is fine with her.

Mav will grow up to be a medium dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.

It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Mav. If you don't have another dog to keep him company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn't work full time.

Mav needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. He will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. He can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).

Maverick’s adoption fee is $700 which includes his desexing when he is old enough. It also includes his first two vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.

Mav is in foster care in Cardiff South, NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. He'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when he's 5 to 6 months old.
