About Twinky
It’s time for our scruffy puppy to find her very own forever home. This girl came to us from a rural NSW facility where she was a staff favourite. Her wonderful carers made the long drive to personally collect her from the pound and boy was she happy to swap kennels for a couch!
Twinky was a little nervous when she arrived into care, but after a week of love, good food and guidance she came out of her shell and has been growing into the most lovely natured pup since. She is very affectionate and would love to find a home where she will receive plenty of pats, cuddles and hopefully a couch cuddle or two!
She is currently in foster care with two working breed dogs and two bunnies. She loves playing with the resident dogs - zoomies, tug and bitey face are all on the cards. Her favourite trick is winning tug and then hiding under a chair so the bigger dogs can’t get it back - what a smart and cheeky girl! She has been very relaxed around the rabbits, so will be fine to live in a home with pocket pets and cats as long as proper introductions are done.
Due to her young age, she has only gone on outings where it’s been safe for her to do so. She’s met some kids and has been fantastic with them, so will be fine to live in a home with dog savvy children. She has met a few other dogs out and about and interacted well, but obviously will need a home where her socialisation is continued appropriately- meaning regular interactions with known, friendly dogs rather than dog park settings. She will be fine to go to a home with another friendly, playful dog or two or as an only dog. Regardless of whether her family has another dog, she will need a home with someone home more often than not as she is a young puppy and isn’t suited to being left home alone for extended hours.
Twinky has been brushing up on some basic training and is a very eager learner. Her toilet training has almost been perfected, but obviously with a change in environment she might need a little brush up in this area. She is learning her sits, stays and comes and really enjoys spending time with her people learning new tricks. She travels well in the car and sleeps through the night on a bed in her carer’s room - did someone say dream puppy? Her new owners should be committed to continuing her basic training to ensure she continues to grow into a wonderful canine companion.
Twinky is a fairly active pup and definitely not a couch potato! She is looking for a family who can provide her with daily physical and mental stimulation and take her on many fun adventures. She would love to become your best friend and go to the beach, on bush walks and other fun outings together. She will not be suited to someone who wants to do a quick walk around the block after work finishes and call it a day. We are looking for dedicated owners who will ensure Twinky is given a wonderfully fulfilling life full of adventures, love and fun. She is a super playful and inquisitive pup and now that her queen like personality is starting to shine through it’s time for her to find her throne.
Twinky will need a home where she is allowed inside as part of the family, be provided with ongoing socialisation and training, and fed a fantastic quality diet as she grows. She needs a warm bed inside at night and to be allowed to join in on the family’s day to day life. In return this gorgeous girl will give you many years of love and laughter.
If you feel you’re the right family we are looking for, head on over to our Fetching Dogs website and fill in a Dog Adoption Enquiry form with plenty of detail about the type of lifestyle you would offer Twinky. We expect her to be popular, so the more information the better as we will only be shortlisting a few families to take to the interview stage.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
