Hello there, I'm Poppy!

I like toys, play, have energy to burn and people to love. I'm looking for a place to call home!

For my new home, I will need to be the only dog because I'm not sure what to do when I see another one. My humans will also need to teach me a few things and guide me through training with a qualified dog trainer, because there are some things I still need to learn about things like other dogs.

I need space and time to settle in. This is because even though I'm cute, if you pat me enthusiastically or too rough I don't like it, I would need access to a yard so I can have my own space and relax in the sunshine for some 'me' time.

This also means living with older children over 12 so they can give me time and space to be left alone if i need it.

I do have some things that make me scared when I'm at home and there are loud noises like fireworks or big bangs, giving me a place to hide like in a crate or my own room with some blankets and cosy things to feel safe.

Fencing would need to be secure in case I become too scared when I'm by myself and try to hide.

Someone who has owned dogs before especially staffys and can understand that when I'm excited i can jump on you for attention.
